What are Millets?

Millets are one of the oldest foods known to humans. They are drought resistant crops grown in dry land, and are known to be cultivated 10 thousand years ago in Asia. Millets are a group of highly variable small-seeded grasses, widely grown around the world as cereal crops or grains. Millets are also unique due to their short growing season. They can develop from planted seeds to mature, ready to harvest plants in as little as 65 days

Millet has high content of nutrients, including impressive starch levels, very high B-vitamin content, as well as calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium, not to mention of its being a healthy source of essential fats in the body. What is “Siri Dhanya”?

Grains are classified as Positive, Neutral and Negative. And the Millet range of grains constitute as Positive and Neutral grains. Among the Positive Millet Grains, which have dietary fibre from 8 % to 12.5 % are Foxtail (Navane), Barnyard (Oodalu), Araka (Kodo), Little (Samai) and Brown Top (Korale). Whereas Pearl (Sajje), Finger (Ragi), Proso (Baragu), Great Millet (White Jowar) and Corn classified as neutral grains, having a little lesser fibre and other nutrients. Millets & Cereals:
Brown Top Millet, Foxtail Millet, Pearl Millet, Kodu Millet, Proso Millet, Little Millet, Barnyard Millet, Jowar and Ragi.

Pulses & Grams:
Green Gram, Bengal Gram, Horse Gram, Urad Dal, Toor Dal, Fried Gram, Peanut, Fenugreek Seeds, Jeera, Barley, Kidney Beans, Sprouted Seeds, Musukina Jola and Cluster Bean.

Nuts and Spices:
Almond, Cashews, Black Pepper and Cardamom

Two Times in a day, Early Morning on Empty stomach and Evening at snacks time/ Break time, (First Week consumed only in the morning)

MIX: –
Take 2 Tbsp, of WELL 3 Millets Health Mix Junior, with 200ml of water or milk, so no lumps are formed.

COOK:-
Place on stove and bring to boil, stir continuously for 5 minutes to avoid lumps.

SERVE:-
Add jaggery to taste & serve warm.

Variation:-
Cook with water and serve with thick milk
